What will I be doing?
- Framework Ownership : Define the technical vision for our internal application framework, including conventions, project archetypes, and lifecycle management.
- Platform Engineering : Develop and maintain core platform components such as SDKs, shared services, and CI / CD pipelines using Golang and Java.
- Architecture & Standards : Promote best practices in microservice design, review RFCs, and oversee deployment standards.
- DevEx Enablement : Create self-service tools, templates, and automated guardrails to improve developer experience.
- Cloud & IaC Expertise : Manage AWS resources with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and CDK, and adopt Kubernetes-native patterns.
- Reliability Engineering : Implement observability, establish SLIs / SLOs, and standardize incident management.
- Security by Design : Incorporate secure coding, secrets management, and supply chain security into the SDLC.
- Mentorship & Leadership : Act as a technical lead, coach engineers, and foster continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with Security and Infrastructure teams to align roadmaps and manage technical debt.
- Continuous Improvement : Stay updated on industry trends, evaluate new technologies, and pilot innovations.
What skills do I need?
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience with backend or platform systems, proficient in Golang and Java.Experience designing and operating cloud-native architectures on AWS.Hands-on experience with containerization, orchestration, Infrastructure-as-Code, and CI / CD pipelines.Strong knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures, and API design.Experience creating SDKs, libraries, or developer platforms.Understanding of security fundamentals and observability tools.Good communication skills in English and familiarity with agile methodologies.Ready to shape the future of dLocal’s platform?
