Job Title : Regional Market Access Manager

Location : Field based, Madrid and South Spain

Job Description

It’s an exciting time for GALDERMA as we enter the biologics market in Dermatology. This is GALDERMA’s first entrance into the Dermatology Speciality area which brings a real sense of opportunity for the organisation to establish themselves within this field.

The Regional Market Access Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to secure and maintain optimal market access across the country.

Working closely with healthcare professionals, payers, and other key stakeholders to remove access barriers, provide education, and advocate for the product’s value proposition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and execute the national market access strategy for the new biologic treatment.
  • Ensure alignment with the overall market access objectives and coordinate with the Head of Market Access and other relevant cross-functional teams.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, payers, hospital pharmacists, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) within the dermatology field.
  • Engage with national and regional health authorities to support the product’s inclusion in formularies and reimbursement lists.
  • Identify potential barriers to market access at local and regional levels.
  • Develop and implement strategies to overcome these barriers, ensuring broad access to the biologic treatment.
  • Provide field-based support to healthcare providers, including education on the clinical and economic benefits of the biologic treatment.
  • Collaborate with the sales and medical teams to ensure consistent messaging and comprehensive support to healthcare providers.
  • Gather and analyse field data related to market access challenges, competitor activity, and payer trends.
  • Report findings to the Head of Market Access and other internal stakeholders to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Commercial, Marketing, Market access, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, and Finance)
  • Communicate with leadership to provide guidance and information on market access topics that require deep expertise

Skills & Qualifications

  • Medical, Pharmacy or higher degree qualification (e.g. MSc, PhD) in a relevant life sciences field
  • Strong experience in market access, health economics, or a related role within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Proven experience in dermatology and / or biologics is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience as a Key Account Manager is desirable
  • Previous experience with public tenders is a plus.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and advocate for the value of our products to payer authorities.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and has established connections with regional and local payers.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with using pharmacoeconomic models is a plus.
  • Frequent travel will be required
