Job Responsibilities :

The Vendor Project Manager provides leadership to Welocalize employees (e.g., localization QA testers / reviewers) working onsite at client premises to ensure successful and timely project execution. The VPM acts as a liaison between Welocalize and the client to meet their needs and goals.

  • Coordinate testing efforts and schedule resources across multiple labs / locations in collaboration with the client and other project managers.
  • Meet with the client to clarify briefs, policies, requests, deadlines, and resource planning.
  • Work with project teams to keep testing schedules on track.
  • Maintain internal tracking for attendance, schedules, performance, and workload of testers / reviewers across languages.
  • Manage candidate invitations for tryouts and client presentations.
  • Guide testers / reviewers through tryouts and serve as the primary onsite contact.
  • Oversee onboarding and training of new testers / reviewers.
  • Provide technical and linguistic training to improve performance.
  • Gather feedback from testers / reviewers and the client to improve workflows.
  • Report on onsite activities, team performance, and client feedback to management and recruiters.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of staff onsite, especially during emergencies.

  • Proficiency in OS X, iOS, Windows, MS Office, and related tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in linguistics, HR, management, or related fields.
  • Project and capacity management experience.

    • Pluses :

  • Knowledge of HTML and Unicode.
  • Basic networking skills.
  • Experience with QA plans, photo editing, and desktop publishing.
  • Training in conflict resolution or mediation.
