The Job : As Director, Inside & Digital Sales for Fisher Scientific Europe, you will lead an ambitious pan-European sales team. You will drive growth among small, mid-sized, and remote customers, applying data and digital tools to strictly optimize sales efficiency and performance. Target customer segments include : Pharma; Biotech; Academia & Industrial. This role is fully remote (working from home), based anywhere in Europe. Regular international travel – between 25-50% of working time, including overnight stays – will be required to support your team and attend customer and supplier meetings. Candidates should live within commuting distance of an international airport.
What Will You Do?
- In conjunction with the Vice President, Commercial Operations Europe, set and achieve or exceed sales and margin targets through new business wins and share of wallet growth.
- Manage daily, monthly, quarterly, and long-term sales metrics and forecasting processes.
- Drive overall execution of sales goals, including establishing and maintaining business plans within each territory.
- Drive digital campaigns, prioritize key customer interactions, and improve sales team efficiency.
- Develop and implement pan-European processes and standard work protocols.
- Collaborate with Sr Segment Directors to bring segment strategies to bear on the customer base.
- Identify sub-segment trends and work with marketing and strategic pricing to develop and launch campaigns that optimize opportunities and improve team focus.
- Embrace digital tools and automation to improve overall sales and efficiency.
- Collaborate with suppliers to gain value and support specific to the Inside & Digital Sales team.
- Accountable for the engagement, performance, compensation, and development of the team.
- Partner with the new Business Development team to build and assess target lists for business development.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of market dynamics that impact plans / strategies.
Who We Are Looking For :
Bachelor's degree in Science or Business is preferred, although equivalent experience will also be considered.Extensive sales experience within the Life Science / Biotech industry, ideally with some time spent in Inside Sales.Multiple years of successful sales management experience (managing a sales team), leading a large team and, ideally, managing managers.Understanding all aspects of the distribution business model, including Services.J-18808-Ljbffr
