Role Overview : The Country General Manager will be responsible for driving Hexing’s utility business development in Spain and Portugal, focusing on electricity distribution, metering, and smart grid solutions. The role requires building and managing strong relationships with utilities, regulatory bodies, and local partners to achieve sales targets and support the company’s growth strategy in Spain and Portugal.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement sales strategies for utility customers in Spain and Portugal, aligned with Hexing’s global and regional objectives.
Manage the full sales cycle : market research, tender identification, bidding, negotiation, and contract execution.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including electricity utilities, system operators, EPCs, and government entities.
Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.
Lead the preparation of technical and commercial proposals with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, legal, finance).
Support after-sales service delivery and customer satisfaction through close coordination with technical service teams.
Represent the company at industry exhibitions, conferences, and local associations to enhance brand visibility. - Report regularly on sales performance, pipeline, and forecasts to senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Energy, Business, or related field. - Minimum 5–7 years of sales experience in the electricity utility sector (metering, distribution, smart grid, or related industries).
Proven track record of managing large accounts, tenders, and long sales cycles.
Strong network within the Iberian electricity utility market is highly preferred.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with cross-cultural teams and adapt to international business practices.
Proficiency in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a strong plus.
Willingness to travel frequently within Spain, Portugal, and occasionally to HQ or other international locations.
