We are seeking a Data Engineer with extensive experience to work closely with one of our main clients in the financial sector.
Main tasks and responsibilities include :
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs and designing data-driven solutions.
- Leading strategic prototyping workshops and collaborating across global teams to implement solutions.
- Building self-service and corporate BI solutions, including data sourcing and ETL processes.
- Driving reporting efficiencies and training Power BI report designers and consumers.
- Acting as a Power BI evangelist, staying updated on technology trends, and contributing to the Power Platform center of excellence.
- Assessing adoption and customer satisfaction, and collaborating with product and UX teams.
- Promoting a culture of change and collaboration.
Qualifications and experience required :
Over 10 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with expertise in data analysis, modeling, and ETL processes.Experience in performance tuning and handling large data volumes.Strong understanding of enterprise big data architectures.Proven experience with reporting and analytics solutions such as Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, SSAS.Knowledge of Azure Data Lakes, Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, and Power Platform solutions.Experience with Power BI and understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, including Azure DevOps and Visual Studio.Good understanding of data security models.Proficiency in English (C1 level).Nice to have :
Experience in building reporting governance frameworks and driving adoption.Experience with SAFe practices.Experience with data interfaces such as APIs, Snowflake, and various file formats.Understanding of Data Quality approaches.Work location : 100% remote within Spain. Work schedule : Business hours, with no intensive Fridays or summer schedules.
