Role

We are looking for a Technical Artist to join our internal game studio at Voodoo, working on Paper.io 2. As part of a small, agile team, you will bridge the gap between art and engineering, helping to optimize workflows, enhance visual quality, and ensure smooth performance across mobile platforms. Your work will directly impact the player experience in our high‑performing, genre‑defining casual game.

Responsibilities

• Optimize game assets, shaders, and rendering pipelines for smooth performance on mobile devices.
• Develop tools and scripts in Unity to streamline the workflow for artists and developers.
• Work closely with game designers, artists, and developers to bring creative visions to life while maintaining technical efficiency.
• Create and implement particle systems, shaders, and lighting techniques to enhance the game’s visual appeal.
• Ensure asset optimization (compression, polygon count, texture sizes) & optimal import into Unity without sacrificing quality.
• Debug and troubleshoot graphical and performance issues on different mobile devices.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in mobile game art and Unity development.
