The Team

This role sits within our Marketing Operations Team which is part of the Global Demand Generation Organization at Celonis. The purpose of the team is to ensure world-class, data-driven demand generation execution through data insights, planning and decision-making frameworks, process optimization, and improving the portfolio of demand generation tactics and resources for maximum return.

The team connects the dots between different departments so that Celonis can engage better with companies, customers, and Celonauts alike. You will be working across different locations in Europe and in the US, and you will be based in Munich, Germany. You will report to the Vice President of Marketing Operations.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Strategy and Operations Senior Manager with a track record of supporting complex marketing organizations. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing Operations, you will help shape the future direction of Celonis by driving the annual planning cycle, budget, headcount, and program planning, using data-driven decision-making. You will work within a collaborative, cross-functional team to deliver insights on marketing performance and recommend improvements.

You will be supporting several departments of Celonis, responsible for building core data models, including necessary data transformation projects to enhance our world-class dashboards, used by over 100 marketers worldwide. You are responsible for creating documentation and enablement and driving adoption of the dashboards.

You will question the status quo and provide continuous enhancements based on the team’s needs to improve the ROI of new campaigns. You are responsible for driving complex analytical insights that ensure better, data-driven business decisions in our global Demand Generation organization.

The work you’ll do

  • Business Partnering with Marketing and Sales Leaders
  • Budget and Headcount Planning and Execution including :
  • Spend execution support and Procurement support
  • Management of reporting and metrics and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Delivering strategic insights that allow the team to optimize current marketing programs
  • Data Analysis
  • Create advanced analyses in our Intelligent Business Cloud to support business objectives (e.g., ROI and segmentation) and help drive key decisions in the global Demand Generation organization
  • Build data models that allow detailed tracking of e.g., campaign performance and the lead-to-opportunity process
  • Conduct ROI analysis to understand and predict the impact of our marketing campaigns and different initiatives
  • Hands-on dashboards reports, improving, optimizing and developing new methods of reporting and creating new reports aligned with the business needs
  • Key Strategic Frameworks for the Global Demand Generation Team
  • Create and enhance campaign attribution model and KPIs to help drive business decisions. Support the development of pipeline targets and provide pipeline performance reports to leadership to support the attainment of our ACV targets.
  • Support the preparation for key business updates including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • ROI Reporting by tactic, providing a historical view of marketing-generated pipe generation by dollar spent, to enhance future performance projections and actuals.
  • Data-driven scorecard for strategic prioritization & insights used for Fiscal Year and quarterly Planning.
  • Celonis “Book of Business”, always on key business & marketing performance reports, to help drive conversations / decision making.
  • Host and moderate “Data Insights” deep-dive sessions with Regional and Functional team members, stakeholders, and business partners.

The qualifications you need

  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience with a focus on Marketing Strategy and Operations
  • A good understanding of marketing / demand generation KPIs, including how the inbound and outbound sales funnels are structured
  • Understanding of common SaaS metrics and business logic around Leads / Contacts, Accounts, and Opportunities
  • Experience with data models involving Salesforce and Marketing Automation systems
  • Expert in Microsoft Office and Advanced Excel / PowerPoint and Google Suite technologies
  • Proficiency in SQL or at least one programming language such as Python or R
  • Experience with Business Intelligence and data visualization in tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI or similar
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a track record of delivering business analytics to senior executives
  • Result-oriented attitude and strong decision-making skills
