Eurovision Services is seeking a highly motivated Audio System Engineer (Live Sports) to be part of our Production Hub, based in Madrid.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

As an Audio System Engineer, you will be responsible for managing audio operations within the Production Hub during sports events. In detail, you will :

  • Operate and troubleshoot the technical audio setup
  • Define, implement and maintain technical workflows for lineup and operations between local and remote parties
  • Coordinate your activitywith the editorial team and other parties
  • Manage and oversee the operation of audio commentary booths
  • Be responsible for embedding, quality control, audio mixing and final delivery
  • Supervise surround audio mixing and production
  • Track, document, and report any technical incidents occurring during the shift

In this position, you will be required to work on shifts, including weekends, overnight, and on-call coverage on a rotating basis.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a similar position, within an international working environment
  • Excellent knowledge of SMPTE ST2110 standards and operations
  • Strong knowledge of video and audio standards
  • Experience with either Dolby E or Dolby Atmos technologies (encoding, decoding, mixing)
  • Proficient in audio mixing techniques, loudness standards, and A / D, D / A conversion workflows
  • Familiarity with video broadcast content and the interplay between audio and video signals in TV production
  • Solid understanding of digital audio / video workflows
  • Strong stress management and problem-solving abilities
  • Proactivity and a service-oriented mindset, along with effective communication with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Capability of working independently and with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Spanish (mandatory)
  • Required level of English : minimum intermediate
