Job Opportunity :

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has an exciting opportunity for a First Party Claims Senior Adjuster to join our dynamic Claims team in Madrid. The individual will be responsible for coordinating the adjustment of a variety of first party claims (commercial property, energy, construction, surety and marine) across the portfolio. This is an opportunity to work within a highly collaborative team environment dedicated to best in class claims handling.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Managing first party (commercial property, energy, construction, surety and marine) claims
• Proactively investigate and handle claims from first notice of loss through ultimate resolution while advising internal stakeholders and meeting with clients and brokers as required.
• Collaborating with customers, brokers, independent adjusters and lawyers
• Prepare reports, accurately set reserves within handling authority, or make claim recommendations concerning reserve changes.
• Work alongside underwriters and other business partners to add value to our service proposition.
• Will report directly to the Head of Claims (Spain).
