Location

This position is based in our production facilities in Ávila (Spain) and requires full professional proficiency in Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • You are the first point of contact for Health Safety and Environment (HSE) and apply this in accordance with the Eastman standards and governmental regulations.
  • You enhance and implement the Eastman safety culture on the shop floor.
  • You are responsible for writing and updating Standard Operating Procedures and providing training and workshops for employees.
  • You facilitate both internal and external audits and follow up on audit actions.
  • You participate in risk analyses, Management of Change (MOC), and commissioning of new devices and installations.
  • You lead incident investigations and are responsible for following up on our reporting tool for incidents and 'near misses'; organize 'observations' and follow up on action points.
  • You analyze and apply process safety and risk inventory & evaluation.
  • You contribute to the continuous improvement of our safety policy and are responsible for implementing improvements.
  • You serve as an ambassador of our 'Zero Incident Mindset', participate in awareness campaigns, and communicate internally about this theme.

Qualifications

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in a technical field with several years of experience in the process industry.
  • Additional education in (Process) Safety and Loss Prevention is a plus.
  • You possess strong administrative and ICT skills.
  • You are passionate about safety and prevention.
  • You have excellent communication and didactic skills in Spanish and English.
  • You can build and maintain a strong network within the internal Eastman HSE organization.
  • You act quickly based on thorough analysis while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
  • A sense of responsibility and integrity are crucial.
  • You are a strong change agent committed to process improvement.
