Job Title : Instrumentation and Control Engineer

PURPOSE OF ROLE :

As a member of the Capital Projects Department, the Instrumentation and Control Engineer will support the Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer in providing expertise and technical support in Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineering. This role focuses on Industrial Automation and Instrumentation discipline development, with involvement in site visits for supporting site personnel in commissioning and supervision of different contractors. Electrical knowledge is also required for leading different assignments within the discipline.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Develop electrical specifications for external packages and subcontract external technical offices.
• Support commercial, project management, and site teams during sales and project execution phases.
• Participate in client meetings during bidding and project execution.
• Assist in project management of I&C disciplines, including scope, cost, design, schedule, vendor coordination, installation, and commissioning.
• Provide automation and process control expertise to enhance Weir Minerals’ Synertrex platform.
• Contribute to budget, quality, and schedule management of I&C engineering disciplines.
• Conduct site visits (15% of the time) for commissioning and supervision of works and contractors.
