The Commercial Expert Analysis Team

This team provides expert analysis and testimony in arbitration, litigation, adjudication, mediation, and pre-dispute commercial discussions. The work involves complex financial analysis, damages evaluation, loss attribution, economic analysis, and investigations at any dispute stage. We also advise on matters investigated by authorities such as the SEC, DOJ, FCA, CMA, and other global regulatory bodies. The team collaborates closely with other firm teams, offering comprehensive solutions and supporting clients through various litigation or arbitration phases, including technical and industry-specific expertise.

Opportunities for Development

This role offers exposure to areas such as commercial litigation and arbitration, regulatory accounting, economic disputes, shareholder disputes, bankruptcy litigation, competition and cartel damages, fraud investigations, remediation, and cross-border disputes.

Responsibilities

  • Build client relationships and identify new business opportunities;
  • Lead dispute-related engagements, including acting as a testifying expert;
  • Provide expert advice to lawyers;
  • Assist clients with fact-finding and clarifying facts related to disputes or investigations;
  • Manage projects across various cases; and
  • Develop new services or products.

Requirements

  • Forensic accountant experience, preferably from the Big 4, with a litigation background;
  • Excellent academic credentials, ideally a Chartered Accountant;
  • Established network and experience in Business Development;
  • Logical, methodical problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions;
  • Strong numeracy skills for processing large data volumes;
  • Ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to lawyers and laypersons;
  • Ability to establish effective client relationships and demonstrate a strong client focus.
