As an Underwriting Service Coordinator, you will work within an international and dynamic environment in our Commercial Lines division in EMEA. You will play a crucial role in supporting underwriting teams by delivering high-quality customer service, managing operational functions, and coordinating with various teams. This support allows underwriters to focus on production and underwriting.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of producing and issuing insurance policies for our customers, along with addressing any associated challenges. You will collaborate with underwriters to create precise and practical instructions for supporting teams to process information, and in some cases, you will handle the processing yourself. This includes working with new business customers, renewal customers, and managing any changes customers wish to make during their insurance term. Every task should be approached with the customer at the forefront, ensuring your work meets their needs and adheres to Chubb's service standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of Domestic and Multinational accounts performing account administration and Multinational program implementation tasks. Support underwriters by providing underwriting, regulatory, and compliance information and advice on program structures, as well as preparing instructions for processing and issuing new business, renewals, endorsements, invoices, and documentation. Ensure all work is completed within required time frames and to quality standards, applying the right first-time principle.
  • Serve as a focal point for internal colleagues, working closely with Segment leaders, Line Managers, Underwriters, and Service centres to deliver agreed client service standards, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues.
  • Act as a point of contact for Broker administration queries related to local market practices, market and service offerings, as well as regulatory and tax questions. Support the timely resolution of credit control queries.
  • Assist with ongoing projects aimed at process improvements, acting as an expert, tester, or facilitator to identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve the customer experience and perform related ad hoc work requests.
  • Manage the UA Mailbox effectively and promptly handle requests from UWR, brokers, and Credit Control.
  • Participate in SOX compliance audits of premiums and commissions in collaboration with PWC.
  • Utilize company systems such as CARGO ADVANTAGE for Marine management and the Portal for Casualty management for portfolio management and administration.
