You will play a pivotal role in enhancing Wikifarmer’s authority through original market analysis, insightful storytelling, and high-impact content partnerships. Focused on key agrifood topics - particularly fresh products and olive oil - you’ll produce timely and engaging market reports, translate expert insights into accessible articles, and lead external publishing efforts that boost our visibility and credibility in the global agrifood landscape.

This is a unique opportunity for someone in the early stages of their career to merge journalistic skills with sector-specific knowledge, shaping Wikifarmer’s voice across critical markets and helping educate and inform a global audience of farmers, suppliers, and agrifood professionals.

Day-to-day responsibilities :

  • Research and publish our weekly Olive Oil Digest section, covering key market trends and insights
  • Produce deep-dive articles on fresh produce and broader agrifood market developments
  • Write and translate Spanish-language articles that resonate with Wikifarmer’s target audiences
  • Build and manage strategic content partnerships with reputable agrifood platforms to secure guest posts and backlinks
  • Engage with Spanish-speaking farmer communities, particularly through Facebook groups, to promote content and source insights
  • Support the broader content team by contributing to general agronomic articles and providing editorial input
  • Guide the team to identify trustworthy sources and proper research methodologies

What you’ll need to bring :

  • You must be based in Spain
  • 1-2 years of foundational experience in journalism, focused on reporting and content creation, ideally with exposure to the agrifood sector
  • Demonstrated interest or early experience in agriculture-related content creation, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from credible sources (interviews, reports, media)
  • Fluency in Spanish and a strong working command of English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to translate expert insights, like agricultural trends or market signals, into accessible, high-quality content
  • Basic understanding of technical / scientific concepts in agrifood (e.g., plant science, food science)
  • Comfortable navigating platforms and tools, and an understanding of how to identify trustworthy, relevant sources and verify information
  • A proactive and curious mindset, someone who is eager to grow in the field, adaptable to different writing tasks, and willing to take initiative
  • What we can offer :

  • A competitive fixed salary of €26k - €34k based on experience
  • Private medical insurance for you and your family
  • 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Wikifarmer is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We are actively working to create a workplace where everyone feels they belong and can thrive. We encourage applications from all qualified individuals, regardless of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
