Our client, DE DIETRICH EQUIPOS QUIMICOS ( ), works to find specific solutions to concrete problems faced by clients, offering tailored development considering yields, economic costs, and product quality. Innovation is a constant in their projects.

Their business includes engineering, planning, installation, and commissioning of evaporation / distillation units for the chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, oil, and solvent recovery industries.

The group also designs, produces, and markets exclusive equipment-based solutions using enameled and stainless steel, special alloys, and borosilicate glass technologies.

To support their expansion, they seek to hire an Engineering Project Manager based in Sant Cugat del Vallés (Barcelona). This role acts as an intermediary between the Engineering Director and the engineering team, providing support to the Engineering Director.

Position : Required Education :

Industrial or Chemical Engineering degree, or similar

Required Languages :

Fluent in Spanish and English

Required Profile :

  • Teamwork management (empathy and closeness to the team)
  • Time management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (internal team, customers, suppliers)

Required Experience :

  • At least 5 years in chemical process projects within chemical engineering, machinery manufacturing, or installation sectors related to chemicals, pharma, oil, solvent recovery, cosmetics, or natural ingredients.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrable project management experience leading a team or department in chemical engineering.
  • Experience in international projects is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suites.
  • Experience in customer and supplier relationship management.
  • Mobility :

    Initially, approximately 85% office work and 15% site visits or travel, with potential increase in site work as experience grows.

    Responsibilities include :

  • Supplier communication (negotiating price and delivery times)
  • Organizing teamwork for inspections, commissioning, start-up, and laboratory / pilot tests
  • Change control and non-conformity monitoring
  • Planning meetings : preparation and follow-up
  • Potential recruitment collaboration
  • Technical review of P&ID, equipment specifications, drawings, control specs, layouts, and operation manuals
  • Technical calculations review (knowledge of HTRI, Aspen valuable)
  • Supervision of FAT, commissioning, and start-up with customers
  • Salary : To be agreed.
