Offer Description

This cutting-edge project bridges catalysis, sustainable chemistry, and prebiotic chemistry, with a dual focus :

  • Catalytic transformation of CO₂ into value-added chemicals, contributing to circular carbon technologies.
  • Exploration

of reaction pathways relevant to the synthesis of prebiotic molecules,

shedding light on chemical processes tied to the origins of life.

You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative environment, engaging

in both fundamental and applied research with access to

state-of-the-art facilities. The key responsibilities include designing,

synthesizing, and characterizing advanced heterogeneous catalysts,

conducting catalytic tests using batch reactors under high-pressure and

temperature conditions, and analyzing reaction products.

  • A Ph.D. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, awarded within the past four years.
  • In-depth knowledge of solid catalyst synthesis, characterization, and catalytic performance evaluation.
  • Practical experience with batch reactors and high-pressure reaction systems, along with proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC and GC.
  • Prior experience in cluster or single-atom catalysis is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with in-situ spectroscopic techniques (e.g., FT-IR, Raman) and synchrotron-based characterization methods (e.g., X-ray absorption spectroscopy) is considered an asset.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, and strong scientific writing and communication skills in English.
