Automation Engineer

We’re supporting a global biopharma manufacturing site in Athlone, Ireland, to appoint a BMS Automation Engineer with deep expertise in HVAC systems and Siemens Desigo. You’ll be part of a high-performing Automation team, reporting to the Senior Manager for Manufacturing Systems.

What you’ll be doing : Configuring, maintaining, and upgrading BMS / HVAC systems Managing third-party system integrators and providing technical guidance to in-house teams Supporting commissioning, validation, and lifecycle activities in a GMP-regulated environment Leading and contributing to automation projects aligned with site priorities Ensuring system compliance, documentation, and SOP development under GAMP standards

What we’re looking for : 5+ years' automation experience in GMP manufacturing Proven BMS / HVAC expertise, especially with

Siemens Desigo Experience with automation protocols (Profibus, Ethernet, Modbus), OSI PI, and SQL Server Strong understanding of validation, change control, and deviation investigations
