Over the past several years, we have undergone significant positive change and growth, becoming the company we are today. We are seeking a Java developer to join our "Regulatory data exchange" project. The role involves working across all layers of the project to foster self-sufficiency in the long term.

The project primarily uses Java, complemented by various open-source frameworks such as Spring Boot, Postgres, Scala, Hadoop, and Angular. While the focus is on backend development, experience with a broader range of backend skills is highly valued.

About the Team & Role

We are a small development team of two based in Valencia, owning one of Confluence's flagship products, Silverfinch. This data exchange and distribution platform is mainly used by asset managers and investors. Although Silverfinch has been in maintenance mode for over 10 years, the addition of a new team member will enable us to implement upgrades, introduce new features, and improve the platform.

The project involves high complexity and big data, offering an excellent challenge for professional growth. Working hours are typically 8 : 00-17 : 00 or 9 : 00-18 : 00, with daily stand-up meetings. Once trained, the individual will own parts of the application. Flexibility in work hours may be required due to our global workforce, and occasional after-hours on-call responsibilities might be necessary.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Quality-oriented, self-motivated, quick learner
• Familiarity with Java open-source ecosystem
