Lead the Controlling team, ensure reporting obligations as a listed company, guarantee economic and financial control of the business in Spain, ensuring rigorous planning, reliable analysis, and a results-oriented efficiency culture.

Lead the controlling function in Spain, providing strategic financial analysis, monitoring business performance, and supporting key decision-making for the financial management and operational units.

Develop dashboards and KPIs to support business decision-making, with value propositions, overseeing financial processes, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring the accuracy and transparency of financial information.

Lead and develop the financial control team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment of financial objectives with business needs, and proposing improvements to the management team.

What you'll be doing :

1.- Financial Analysis and Reporting. Planning and Control

Conduct daily operations analysis to support ongoing activities and decision-making.
Ensure compliance with internal and group reporting standards, in line with the requirements of a listed company.
Assist the Financial Director in both business analysis and reporting to Global HQ and the local Management Committee.
Act as a reference point for data quality, creating systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring the reliability and consistency of financial information.
Monitor and coordinate key business KPIs at both local and global levels.
Provide ad hoc analysis and monthly dashboards to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Participate in continuous improvement processes, reporting automation, and process digitalization

2.- Business Partnering

Collaborate with business leaders to provide financial insights and guidance that support strategic decision-making, aligning financial objectives with overall business goals.

Monitor financial performance through variance analysis, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs), presenting detailed financial reports, and proposing performance improvements to the Management Committee (CLT).

Act as the financial liaison with various business areas (commercial, product, operations...), understanding their needs and providing economic-financial insights.

Provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability, efficiency, and sustainable business growth.

Assess the financial viability of new projects, investments, or product lines.

3.- Team Management

Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 2 junior controllers, ensuring professional growth aligned with the department's needs.

Manage and develop the team, promoting a high-performance culture, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Accounting and Financial Reporting : Mastery of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (IFRS, etc.).

Analytical Skills : Ability to perform detailed analysis and prepare accurate financial forecasts.

Technical Tools : Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Navision). Knowledge of BI tools and other financial ERPs is a plus.

Financial Planning : Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Cash Flow Management : Ability to manage cash flow by monitoring transactions and reviewing internal reports.

Business Analysis : Conducting routine operational analysis to support ongoing activities and decision-making.

Leadership and Team Management : Proven experience in managing and developing teams, fostering high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English (C1 level or higher).

Autonomy and Decision-Making : Ability to make informed decisions under pressure, balancing risks and opportunities.

Stakeholder Management : Effective management of relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Proactivity and Results Orientation : Demonstrated proactive approach and strong focus on achieving results.

Adaptability : Ability to adapt to changing business environments and priorities in demanding settings.

Time Management : Effective management of multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.

University Degree in Finance, Accounting or Similar

MBA (Master of Business Administration) is a plus

Languages :
