Junior Power Trader

Duferco Iberia is seeking a Junior Trader to manage the bidding of renewable units in the Spanish spot energy market.Your Mission- Develop, update and maintain 24 / 7 optimization strategies for bidding and intraday trading- Design and implement AI-driven trading algorithms- Optimize hedging strategies for renewable production- Produce and maintain market-intelligence analyses and KPI performance reportsWhat You Bring- Master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline- Strong Python skills, including experience with ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch)- Proficiency with VBA / Excel, Power BI and SQL- Hands-on knowledge of machine-learning techniques for time series forecasting, predictive modelling and anomaly detection- Exposure to reinforcement-learning frameworks for automated trading strategies- Fluent English (both written and spoken)- Flexibility and willingness to take on “out-of-scope” tasks common in a start-up environmentNice to Have- Up to 3 years’ experience in bidding / intraday at a power-trading firm- Proven track record building AI-driven dashboards for real-time market monitoringWhat We Offer- A dynamic, innovative start-up backed by a well-established international trading group- A highly collaborative, professional environment with excellent growth opportunities- Competitive fixed salary plus variable performance-based bonus
