What You'll Do

As a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage on our Client Focus path within BCG's Financial Institution Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and / or institutionalized BCG Vantage assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data and related expertise, etc.). You will contribute on cases and proposals by contributing relevant analysis and insights and help case teams create strong impact for the client. While contributing to client cases, workshops and proposals, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions.

You will support commercialization efforts for the topic / sector working, in conjunction with business leaders, through contributing analysis and insights to proposals, client workshops and marketing materials. Additionally, as a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage, you will contribute to developing intellectual property & assets for the business and assist in onboarding and training junior colleagues based on your topic / sector expertise.

The Corporate, Commercial, and Investment Banking sector serves leading banking players across geographies, focusing on Business-to-Business banking segments ranging from Middle Market to Multinational Large Corporates. Products in scope include all traditional Corporate Banking products such as credit and Asset based lending, transaction banking, trade finance, FX, derivatives, as well as Investment Banking and Capital Markets products such as ECM, DCM, sales and trading.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

Functional And Soft Skills

Good understanding of the functions, products and services within the retail and business banking segments
Working knowledge and demonstrated experience at developing and working with pricing models such as elasticity models, willingness to pay and customer lifetime value for banking products.
In addition to these, working knowledge of efficient frontier optimization and advanced pricing modelling skills around ML and AI (although not required to the role) will be considered a strong advantage.
Analysing large data sets, finding patterns, providing a robust business conclusions and relevant data insights
Working and interacting in a global and virtual team, incl. communicating with senior clients
Driving new ideas, with limited guidance and working independently
Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
Entrepreneurial, self-starter attitude - willing to go the extra mile.

Technical Skills

Strong command of MS Office suite, esp. PowerPoint and Excel

Working knowledge of SQL / Databases and modeling is needed. Use of other softwares / platforms such as Alteryx / MS Access, Python. DataIKU, Tableau, BI tools, VBA, etc. will be a strong advantage.

Your Key Responsibilites

Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data / information from clients to provide business intelligence and relevant tactical strategies to improve profitability

Strong data analysis to build and generate robust business cases that help FI make implementation decisions

Developing pricing models for Financial Institutions

Working on business cases and financial models to determine the impact of new opportunities and initiatives

Performing pilots and testing that can help refine and improve pricing points on our models

Assess market / industry trends as well as the competitive performance of firms operating in a particular market

Address client questions / queries using the data and content expertise

Preparing and delivering customized reports (through a digital platform and PowerPoints) to clients

What You'll Bring

University degree with demonstrated high academic achievement, preferably in Business administration (with a focus on finance), quantitative sciences (e.g., mathematics, statistics, physics), economics, computer science, engineering or other data / analytical-centric disciplines.

Knowledge / experience of 4 to 6 years in data analysis, business modelling and / or 2 / 3 years working with

pricing models preferably in financial institutions is required

Proven research and database management and analysis capabilities

Industry knowledge is a strong advantage

Proficiency in both Spanish and English is required (spoken and written).
