Board is currently seeking an Instructional Designer to join our Board Academy team.

Reporting to the Director of Board Academy, the Instructional Designer will help to create learning experiences for both online and V / ILT courses. This role will plan and deliver projects independently, including writing content, creating and explaining activities, devising test and knowledge check experiences, creating evaluation criteria and forms, and managing their projects. While software training is our main focus, this role will work on a variety of topics including Sales Enablement, Agile Project Management, Consulting Skills, and others.

Main Duties :

  • Manage projects independently
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop course content
  • Write content for online learning materials
  • Record and edit instructional videos
  • Design learning activities, assignments, and assessments
  • Create modules, eLearning components, and storyboards
  • Develop instructor’s manuals, aids, stand-alone activities, and other teaching tools
  • Keep current on best practices in instructional design
  • Review courseware to provide feedback and QA

What we look for :

  • Experience with Board software and Software as a Service (SaaS) customer success program is a plus.
  • Knowledge of instructional theory, including assessment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical colleagues and clients
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous deadlines
  • Expert knowledge of Articulate software, including Rise, Storyline, and Review
  • Working to expert knowledge of file-sharing systems (SharePoint, Teams, Seismic, etc.)
  • Working to expert knowledge of software / hardware presentation needs (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Planner, Loop, etc.)
