Back-End Software Engineer & Application Specialist
Barcelona School of Economics is a non-profit private foundation created to provide an exceptional ecosystem for economics education and research in a unique international environment.
IT Department : The IT department supports the School's operations by providing tailored technology solutions. This role is focused on maintaining and evolving internal applications , in close collaboration with the School's departments. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with end-user orientation and the ability to manage projects independently.
35% – Design, plan, and manage IT projects, including maintaining and improving internal software tools in direct coordination
20% – Provide Level 2 application support and troubleshooting across departments
10% – Create and maintain system and project documentation
Additional involvement in goal-setting and budget monitoring for the IT area.
Fluent written and spoken English
IT bachelor (grado) or professional education (FP) with proven experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience in software project management
Data analysis capabilities (PowerBi or Tableau)
Service-oriented mindset for internal IT support
3 years coding experience
Experience with SQL-based relational databases
Basic DevOps skills, especially in Google Workspace and Google Cloud environments
Solid knowledge of CRM systems (even better if it's ESPO CRM
Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies
Open-source CRM platforms, WordPress, Tableau.
Jira, Confluence.
Basic administration skills in Linux and Apache
Minimum 3 years of experience in back-end development
Proficiency in web development (PHP, Laravel)
