Embedded Software Engineer

From ECB, we are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our client team, an international company specialized in the Energy sector. They are located in Madrid.

The Embedded Software Engineer will be in charge of designing embedded firmware for different platforms (processors, DSPs, microcontrollers) that are part of products or systems for industrial applications, analyzing customer needs and determining firmware system requirements, recommending embedded platforms, driving implementation of the intended functionality, and developing maintenance and testing procedures for the firmware releases.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Deliver as planned complete firmware solutions (specification, design, implementation, testing, industrialization).
• Develop and conduct necessary tests for validation / qualification of (sub-)systems. Support production in test bench development.
• Participate in the firmware development of new features and products (from feasibility studies and POCs up to release to manufacturing products).
• Participate in the continuous improvement activities of company’s products and services.
• Maintain the existing firmware architecture throughout the entire product life cycle.
• Perform design reviews, root cause analyses, and implement best practices.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal departments.
