About the Role :

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Content Services technology team, you will work with several technologies including : AWS, service mesh, Kafka, data lake storage and GenAI and real-time news systems, automation, web scraping and data extraction. You will take part in a transformational effort to modernize our real-time news systems and other content systems that feed and enrich our many products including Newswires, Factiva and the Wall Street Journal. You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager.

You Will :

• Contribute to all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle to design, develop, test and deploy high quality solutions using the Agile / Scrum methodology and working with technologies including : AWS Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Istio, Envoy, Jaeger, Prometheus, Grafana, Kafka, GenAI, Terraform, Chef, Jenkins, JSON, XML, MySQL or other Relational Database.
• Perform investigation, analysis, evaluation and prototyping to determine project feasibility.
• Partner collaboratively with stakeholders to manage scope, deliverables and timelines on technical projects.
• Provide feedback, guidance, recommendations and training to management and other stakeholders.
• Work with Agile and geographically and culturally diverse teams.
• Demonstrate knowledge of industry trends, tools and systems.
