Requirements

Purpose of the Role

The Assistant Manager oversees the day-to-day Front of House operations at each residence in the region, deputizing for the General Manager in their absence and serving as the primary contact for residents, contractors, suppliers, agencies, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations
  • Manage the team, including Resident Ambassadors and agency staff.
  • Promote a resident-first culture and meet expectations.
  • Manage the residence office and ensure high customer service levels.
  • Assist with sales and marketing to maintain at least 98% occupancy.
  • Handle complaints, breaches, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Manage room cleans, reactive maintenance, and data accuracy in the property management system.
  • Provide out-of-hours support as needed.
  • Supervise maintenance and housekeeping to keep the site presentable.
  • Ensure SOP adherence and organize resident events.
  • Compliance
  • Ensure health and safety standards and legal compliance.
  • Monitor and report incidents, manage contracts, and ensure statutory testing.
  • Assist with budget management, occupancy, and revenue initiatives.
  • Manage arrears, bad debts, and reconcile accounts.

  • Experience managing budgets over £100k.
  • Effective team leadership and communication skills.
  • Planning, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
  • Customer-focused, adaptable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
