Description

Are you passionate about insurance and eager to join a dynamic team in the construction sector We are looking for a Construction Claims Specialist to proactively and effectively manage claims related to construction projects delivering value to both clients and the organization.

Role description

  • Design and implement claims handling protocols tailored to construction projects including civil works infrastructure and large-scale developments.
  • Provide guidance to clients on claims procedures related to Construction All Risk Third Party Liability and Decennial Liability policies.
  • Train clients on the claims process and any specific requirements.
  • Participate in client meetings for pre-placement and renewal planning.
  • Coordinate claim notifications according to required frequency and information.
  • Analyze incurred and paid claims and monitor loss ratio trends.
  • Verify claim coverage against policies or contractual documentation.
  • Liaise with project managers site engineers and legal teams to gather evidence and assess liability.
  • Manage claims involving multiple stakeholders including contractors subcontractors insurers and reinsurers.
  • Negotiate with insurers from initial contact to final settlement.
  • Keep documentation and claims systems up to date.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction industry developments and their impact on insurance coverage and claims.

Qualifications

  • Requirements
  • Preferably a university degree or relevant experience in insurance or construction.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation (e.g. Insurance Contract Law Brokerage Regulations LOE).
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
