The Instituto de Investigación Biosanitaria de Granada (ibs.GRANADA) is seeking outstanding postdoctoral researchers interested in applying for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-PF) in collaboration with our Maternal-Fetal Health and Elastography Research Group .

MSCA PF 2025 call opens on May 8, 2025, and closes on September 10, 2025.

Who we are :

ibs.GRANADA , a research institute managed by the Public Foundation for Biosanitary Research of Eastern Andalusia - Alejandro Otero ( FIBAO ), is a collaboration between the University of Granada and the University Hospitals of Granada, which are reference centers of the Andalusian Public Health System of Granada (Andalusia), serving both Primary Care and Hospital Care.

The Andalusian Public Health System (APHS) provides healthcare to 8.4 million inhabitants of Andalusia, aiming to deliver high-quality public healthcare that is accessible and satisfactory to users, while ensuring efficiency and optimal resource use.

There are 70 research groups at iBS.Granada covering four areas of expertise :

  • Oncology
  • Epidemiology and Public Health
  • Advanced Therapies and Biomedical Technologies

The Department of Fetal Medicine at the Hospital Universitario Clínico San Cecilio comprises professionals from various women's health disciplines. This group of over 100 professionals works collaboratively to improve women's sexual and reproductive health, utilizing advanced facilities and technology that adapt to scientific and technological advancements.

The secondment group is part of the TEC12-Maternal Fetal Health and Elastography research group at IBS Granada, focused on advanced therapies and biometric technologies. This translational research team includes physicians, scientists, and bioengineers, with significant funding and numerous publications and patents related to obstetric pathologies and biomedical devices.

The group has participated in key clinical trials, including those for pre-eclampsia and twin pregnancies, and has contributed to the development of screening and prevention strategies for pregnancy-related complications.

The group's main research lines include :

  • Maternal-Fetal Health, focusing on fetal medicine, endocrine disruption, and women's health.
  • Elastography, emphasizing the epidemiology and prevention of preterm birth, particularly tissue microarchitecture changes during pregnancy.
  • The team is well-positioned to mentor researchers interested in pregnancy complications and women's health research.

    The candidate researcher should have :

  • Basic training in Medicine, Health Sciences, or Biomedicine.
  • Advanced training including a PhD in Health Sciences, proficiency in English, scientific writing skills, and advanced statistical knowledge applied to health sciences.
  • Interest in project development within the group's research areas and women's health during pregnancy.
