Job Title : Sales Director – EU Region

Location : Spain (Remote, with occasional travel)

Our client is a globally recognized leader in the automotive industry , with operations in over 40 countries spanning Europe, Asia, and the Americas . Renowned for its cutting-edge products, innovation, and customer-centric approach, the company is continuously expanding its market presence. To drive commercial performance and strategic growth in the region, they are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director for the EU region .

Position Summary

The Sales Director – EU Region will be responsible for developing and executing the regional sales strategy, managing key accounts, and leading a high-performing sales team across Europe. This role will report to global leadership and play a critical part in achieving business growth, market expansion, and customer satisfaction. The position is remote , based in Spain , with frequent travel to customer sites and regional offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the sales strategy across the EU region to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability goals
  • Lead and manage the regional sales team , ensuring strong execution, pipeline development, and performance management
  • Build and maintain relationships with key OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, distributors, and strategic partners
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across both mature and emerging markets in the region
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product management, finance , and operations to align sales efforts with overall business goals
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to adjust strategies as needed
  • Drive forecasting, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior leadership on sales performance, KPIs, and market intelligence

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of sales experience in the automotive sector , with at least 5 years in a regional or leadership role
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing large customer accounts in a multi-country setting
  • Strong understanding of automotive supply chain dynamics , customer requirements, and regional market differences
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities
  • Experience in leading and motivating cross-border, multicultural teams
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Fluent in English ; additional European languages are a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred
