THE ROLE

The Junior Commercial Analyst will support Legends / ASM Iberia clients with analyzing financial and non-financial data and trends to support performance management reporting and business decision-making. The role will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop insights that drive revenue growth, improve profitability, and optimize commercial operations.

The ideal candidate will be a commercially astute professional with strong business judgment, analytical skills, and a proactive mindset. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role requiring the ability to influence, lead, and collaborate with diverse teams. The role is based in Madrid.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Financial Analysis and Data-Driven Business Decision Support :

  • Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and models.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide insights into revenue generation, cost management, and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and tools to provide actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct comprehensive research on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive positioning.
  • Evaluate client performance against competitors and market benchmarks.

Investment and Risk Analysis :

  • Develop financial modeling and scenario planning for potential business initiatives or investments.
  • Evaluate potential investment opportunities using techniques such as discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, ROI, and IRR.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential financial exposures and mitigation strategies.
  • Project Management Support :

  • Contribute to cross-functional strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, and documentation for key stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Communication :

  • Partner with internal and client department leaders to align strategies and ensure data-driven execution.
  • Clearly communicate complex analysis and insights in a concise, actionable manner.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 2–4 years of experience in commercial strategy, consulting, operations.
  • Full professional fluency in Spanish and English is required.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and business valuation techniques
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adept at establishing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
