Tech Account Manager for Strategic Industries

This role involves working as a trusted advisor to enable customers' cloud journey and grow their knowledge of AWS cloud services and technologies to support their business goals. As a key member of the Enterprise Support organization, you will work with talented cloud technologists whilst expanding your knowledge of AWS products.

The Strategic Industries team is responsible for strategic accounts and seven industry business units across global verticals - Financial Services, Industrial and Manufacturing, Media and Entertainment, Telecom, Healthcare and Life Sciences, Energy and Utility, and Automotive. This role is in the Financial Services vertical, where we are looking for someone with experience in Financial Services domain to help our customers achieve operational excellence on AWS at scale.

Your primary responsibilities will include :

  • Building solutions, providing technical guidance, and advocating for the customer.
  • Ensuring AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity.
  • Developing trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs, and technical challenges.
  • Driving technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management.
  • Consulting with a range of partners from developers through to C-suite executives.
  • Collaborating with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers.
  • Finding opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS.
  • Providing detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, and prelaunch planning.
  • Being part of a wider Enterprise Support team, providing post-sales, consultative expertise.
  • Solving various problems across different customers as they migrate their workloads to the cloud.

A day in the life of this role includes having a direct impact in helping our customers gain the most value from cloud technology. You will craft and execute strategies to drive our customers' adoption and use of AWS services. Our Technical Account Managers partner with some of the most iconic businesses in the country, ranging from rising startups building their business from scratch to large enterprises going through significant transformation.

To succeed in this role, you should have :

  • Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for three or more of the following : compute / storage / networking / CDN / databases / DevOps / big data and analytics / security / applications development in a distributed systems environment.
  • Experience in technical engineering.
  • Professional fluency in both Spanish and English.
  • While not required, it would be beneficial if you have experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings, as well as experience in an internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead.
