Job Title : Field Service Controls Engineer – Turbomachinery

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Controls Engineer with proven experience in turbomachinery, including steam turbines, gas turbines, and compressors. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of control systems for rotating equipment at client sites across the globe. Your expertise in control logic, instrumentation, and system integration will be essential to ensure the safe and efficient operation of critical assets.

Key Responsibilities :

• Commission, troubleshoot, and maintain control systems for turbomachinery (steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors).
• Interpret and modify control system logic, including PLCs, DCS, and / or proprietary turbine control platforms.
• Configure and calibrate instrumentation, actuators, governors, vibration monitors, and related field devices.
• Perform functional and loop checks during commissioning / startup.
• Work closely with engineering teams and OEMs to implement control upgrades or retrofits.
• Provide on-site technical support, training, and consultation to customers.
• Create detailed service reports, documentation, and as-built control schematics.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards, customer requirements, and internal QA / QC procedures.
• Participate in root cause analyses for machinery trips, faults, or control issues.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with customers and project stakeholders.
