The role

The Technology Business Partner plays a critical role in bridging the gap between technology and business objectives. They collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product / process owners and IT teams to ensure that technology solutions align with organizational goals. Requirements, outcomes and updates are communicated to the Regional Technology Leadership to give an holistic view of technology in their region. They will represent the Voice of the Customer to Technology and represent Technology capabilities to the Regions. The TBP acts as a strategic advisor, driving innovation, efficiency, and value across the organization.

The Technology business partners is responsible for working with the Technology Centers of Excellence (COEs) to align the strategic needs of the Region with Technology budgets, plans and deliverables. They hold a shared accountability with COEs for day-to-day Technology service delivery within their regions and they will manage project / program delivery within region.

They are accountable for working with the rest of Technology services to drive customer satisfaction into the regions by ensuring day-to-day Technology execution is effectively deployed, with issues and root cause analysis dealt with promptly alongside the effective programme deployment of new capabilities. They play a pivotal role to ensure the delivery of improved services and efficiencies for the Region through "business-as-usual" delivery, optimization, innovation and new services. They create transparency within the region around Technology service delivery, project / programme delivery and Technology costs for the Regional MD & their SLT by ensuring the alignment of Technology financials, SLA's, KPI's and project delivery with their regional.

The role remit presents the challenge that the Business Partner must represent both the Business and Technology's needs and must consider both perspectives to ensure an appropriate balance between global convergence targets and local business needs.

  • Superb problem-solving and relationship-building skills in complex internal customer relationship environments.
  • Highly efficient and with the energy and tenacity to see work through to completion, in a timely manner, ensuring deadlines are always met.
  • Able to cope well with pressure and have the organisational skills to manage a diverse range of tasks.
  • Strong people manager, able to design practices, processes and procedures which allows managing from a distance.
  • Have Bachelors degree or Masters in business, project management, computer science, computer engineering or a related field of study, or equivalent experience. Nice to have - technical project management qualifications.
  • Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.
  • Demonstrated skilled communicator and excellent stakeholder management, experience in working and influencing at C-suite level.
  • Leading cross-functional teams in a global environment with multiple executive stakeholders.
  • Strategy planning, project portfolio development and management.
  • Knowledge of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management.
  • Five or more years of business experience in strategic and operations planning and / or business analysis.
  • A proven ability to deliver projects / programmes and an understanding of the need to work with business change management functions to embed change in an effective manner.
  • Experienced delivery, tracking and reporting to senior executives complex portfolio programmes.
  • Experience in working strategically to realize organizational goals and develops compelling visions for the future.
  • Experience in working across multiple initiatives with strong delegation and empowerment skills.
