RELP is an impact-driven, independent nonprofit organization dedicated to making the deployment of renewable energy cheaper and faster in emerging and developing countries. Our goal is to increase reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy to help mitigate climate change.

Our mission is to accelerate the transition to clean energy by unlocking renewable energy markets for scalable private investments at low prices, promoting sustainable economic development.

We are seeking a

Senior Research Associate to join our dynamic, rapidly growing, and innovative organization. The ideal candidate will be autonomous, a fast learner, and proactive. The main focus will be to enhance our analytics and energy research capabilities.

How you will contribute :

  • Researching and compiling information about target countries, including economic and power market features, to prepare Country Profile reports.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations or reports on relevant topics for identifying and selecting target countries.
  • Drafting Collaboration Agreements with target countries and stakeholders.
  • Preparing materials for signing Collaboration Agreements and meetings with representatives.
  • Supporting decision-making by preparing reports, white papers, and other documents for stakeholders.
  • Delivering presentations, courses, or seminars related to the Cooperation Agreement for capacity building.
  • Providing ad-hoc reports or presentations as required by RELP's core team.

What you will bring :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics (Mandatory).
  • Master's in Renewable Energy or related field.
  • 7-10 years of research experience, with at least 3 years in the energy sector.
  • Professional proficiency in English and French.
