We are currently recruiting for a Senior Payroll Coordinator for the Spanish market, based in our offices in either Madrid or Barce lona. This person will be responsible for payroll, HRIS and T&A for Store Operations teams across all of Spain and will act as an integral member in the HR department.

This is an opportunity for someone with significant experience in payroll and HR administration, looking to take full ownership of both Head Office and Store based employee payroll responsibilities.

What you will be responsible for :

PAYROLL :

Establish and communicate the payroll yearly and monthly calendar.

Establish appropriate processes and reporting tools to enable smooth and correct flow of payroll data from stores

Work closely with our external payroll vendor to ensure correctness and security of the whole payroll production.

Execute controls of payroll files throughout the payroll cycle.

Ensure the correct application of any enrollment, changes, or termination of employee benefits, such as life insurance, health insurance and other payroll-related benefits

Provide guidance to Stores in any task related with payroll

Provide assistance to employees on payroll-related matters, answer questions, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner

Acts as a true business leader, communicating with all other departments (EU payroll, accounting, treasure…)

HRIS

Update and implement any changes to the time and attendance system

Ensure the correct application of the time and attendance processes are followed by stores

Draw-up and implement data accuracy improvement and maintenance action plan.

Provide guidance to managers in their day to day to data management operations.

Perform monthly data audit and take appropriate actions to correct inconstancies

Monitor maintenance of and proactively take initiatives to enhance / automate HRIS, working closely with EU HRIS teams

Reflect legal changes properly in the different HR systems

HR ADMINISTRATION

Review and improve personnel administrative processes and tools in close collaboration with HR department and store operations

Deliver social legal and personnel related reports as well as provide HR KPI’s reports to stores

Manage payment of HR vendors through our internal system COUPA

Provide guidance and create / deliver training to managers on payroll, admin and HRIS related matters

Skills, Experience and Attributes :

EXPERIENCE :

Bachelor and / or master’s degree in payroll, human resource management or finance

Approx. 5-7 years of experience in payroll, personnel administration and / or HRIS

Experience in retail, hospitality or customer service sectors would be an advantage

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES :

Solid knowledge on Spanish Labor Code

In-depth experience of payroll process, HR systems and data management

Fluent in English

Advanced Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup and other formulas)

Excellent analytical skills with high level of accuracy and attention to details

Good planning and organization skills

Ability to work with a diverse and global team

Strong work ethics and integrity
