The ideal candidate should have excellent creative thinking skills and be able to create interior designs based on conversations with clients. The candidate should be confident in communicating regularly with clients in order to assess their needs and be able to adjust a given approach based on feedback. The candidate should maintain familiarity with the interior design landscape and trends in order to provide the best ideas for clients.

Responsibilities

Create attractive designs and layouts for various projects
Meet with clients in order to understand their objectives and desires
Communicate effectively with clients, vendors and UMQ team in order to address clients' needs
Prepare presentations (3D, 2D max ups, and renderings) for clients
Create quotes for clients and ensure full workflow is followed
Maintain industry knowledge in order to stay relevant

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.

Proficient in drafting and detail drawings (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion, or Enscape).

Skilled in design softwares.

Strong creative and communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to execute.

Sketching + drawing, space, and environments.

Strong visualization skills including composition, perspective, and color theory.

Good observation and research skills.

Knowledge of form, scale, composition, use of detail, and visual storytelling.

Clear and confident communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and time management .

Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.

Able to demonstrate initiative and proactive approach to daily tasks.

Able to work well within a team.
