About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior UX / UI Designer to join our growing design team and help craft intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging digital experiences. You’ll collaborate with product managers, developers, and fellow designers to transform complex problems into elegant, user-centered solutions.

At PayRetailers, we provide a seamless, cross-border payment platform tailored to the Latin American market. As part of our team, you’ll play a key role in improving how users interact with our products—making their experience smoother, clearer, and more valuable at every touchpoint.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct and analyze user and market research to extract actionable insights.
  • Perform competitive benchmarking, heuristic evaluations, and user persona development.
  • Plan and execute both qualitative and quantitative usability tests.
  • Synthesize findings to inform design direction and product decisions.
  • Lead the design of user interfaces across responsive web and mobile platforms—from concept to final handoff.
  • Translate user needs and business goals into wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
  • Maintain and evolve design systems, ensuring visual and functional consistency.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in agile environments.
  • Champion design thinking principles and a user-first approach throughout the organization.
  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design standards.
  • Contribute to the definition and evolution of PayRetailers’ design culture.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in UX / UI design or related roles.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in UXD, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design with a clear focus on research, analysis, and user experience. (Required)
  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Solid experience designing intuitive checkouts and digital platforms, including data-driven dashboards, user-friendly forms.
  • Deep understanding of UX principles, usability, and accessibility standards.
  • Proven ability to build and scale design systems.
  • Strong sense of visual design, with an eye for layout, visual impact, color, typography and iconography.
  • Experience with prototyping and user testing tools such as Userlytics, Maze, or UserTesting.
  • Ability to apply design thinking methodologies across various project types.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • The ideal candidate must come from the fintech, payments, or e-commerce industries, with extensive experience in payment gateways and digital transactions.
