Senior DevOps & Backend Engineer

to play a pivotal role in scaling its intelligent EV charging optimisation platform. At the forefront of the energy transition, this company is developing smart technology that connects electric vehicles, charging stations, and the energy grid, enabling cleaner, more efficient charging.

The Role : This is a

high-impact hybrid position , combining

DevOps leadership

with

Java backend development . You'll be responsible for managing cloud infrastructure and CI / CD pipelines, while also contributing directly to the development of core backend systems that power a next-generation energy platform.

Key Responsibilities : Own and evolve cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure). Design and maintain CI / CD processes and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform). Develop and support backend services in

Java (Spring Boot, Quarkus, or similar) . Contribute to the reliability, scalability, and performance of microservices architecture. Implement containerisation and orchestration with

Docker

Kubernetes . Ensure observability using tools like

Prometheus, Grafana , and

OpenTelemetry . Support secure, automated, and resilient deployments.

Key Requirements : Proven experience in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role. Strong Java backend development skills

essential). Hands-on experience with CI / CD tools and infrastructure-as-code. Solid understanding of cloud-native technologies and cloud security best practices. Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash, Shell). Familiarity with containerisation and microservices patterns.

Nice to Have : Experience with GitLab CI / CD, MongoDB, or Quarkus. Background in energy, mobility, or sustainability-focused tech. Broader understanding of distributed systems and agile software development.
