Role Overview

As Content Acquisition Manager within Prime Video, your passion for films and TV will drive your efforts to identify the best content to attract, engage, and retain our customers in Spain. You will leverage your analytical skills to evaluate content acquisitions both qualitatively (what, where, from whom) and quantitatively (how, when).

You will support your content category by assessing past recommendations' effectiveness to inform future decisions and contribute to our team’s broader vision.

Skills and Tools

Proficiency in Excel and SQL is essential, as these tools will be integral to your analytical work. You are a proactive problem solver, enthusiastic and determined in overcoming challenges. Your excellent writing skills enable you to craft compelling arguments, considering various perspectives. Strong stakeholder management skills are vital for balancing priorities and managing expectations internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on key areas of the European catalog within Prime Video, contributing to content strategy, budgeting, and acquisition recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Support the sourcing, evaluation, and launch of film and TV content to meet Prime Video’s goals.
  • Assist in all aspects of the content acquisition process, including building analytical models to demonstrate value, analyzing results for improvements, and collaborating with internal teams on content and contract management.
  • Set and understand performance targets for your content category within Prime Video.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to translate business problems into analytical tasks and communicate results effectively.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Strong data analysis skills to identify useful patterns and solve problems.
  • Experience with data tables, SQL queries, and data export.
  • Experience with database programs, tables, and CRM systems.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a client-facing attitude.
  • Experience supporting negotiations of large-scale contracts.
  • Experience in licensing third-party media content.
