WhereTo (now part of Flight Centre Travel Group) is looking for a passionate, motivated, and skilled Front End Engineer to join our growing Engineering team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the team leading the return to travel and work with some of the largest and most powerful travel programs in the world.

We are looking for a self-motivated team player who is also willing to mentor others and contribute to our culture of engineering and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities...

  • Help lead the Front-End team to write code that's fast, scalable, and user-friendly.
  • Ensure best practices with virtual-DOM, pure reducers, and immutable data structures in our code.

Experience & Qualifications...

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience (excluding internships and personal projects).
  • 2+ years experience with React.js or other web frameworks (Vue.js, Angular, Ember, etc.).
  • Experience with state containers (e.g., Redux, Alt, Flux).
  • Proficiency in HTML5, including handling IE quirks.
  • Experience with Agile development and TDD / BDD methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of Git fundamentals.
  • Experience with pure-functional programming (e.g., Ramda, Lo-Dash FP) is a bonus.
  • Interest in full-stack development is a bonus.
