At ING we are looking for a Data Governance Expert

Your role and work environment :

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Data Governance Expert to join our Data Enablement team within the Data Management Tribe .

The team is responsible for building, defining, and deploying new governance capabilities for our data platform to ensure policy compliance and support across the bank, following the 5 Rights principles : The right data is in the right place at the right time for the right people in the right way.

Your key responsibilities :

  • Support new initiatives aligned with the ING data framework.
  • Ensure availability of correct metadata to meet policies, including classification, exchange, and definitions.
  • Maintain data traceability according to defined requirements based on criticality.
  • Contribute expertise on reference data governance and enabling standard values across users.
  • Collaborate with squads and technical teams to define requirements and improve Data Management processes.

What are we looking for?

If you recognize yourself in these qualities, don’t hesitate to apply!

  • Experience with Data Governance tools (Collibra, Informatica, IGC, Atlan, etc.)
  • Experience with data catalogs, dictionaries, and metadata management, including business terms and reference data.
  • Minimum of 5 years in data governance and metadata management.
  • Advanced English skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with attention to detail.
  • Desired :

  • Banking sector experience
  • Reporting tools experience (Cognos, PowerBI, Microstrategy)
  • Certifications related to data governance and metadata
  • Spanish language skills
  • SQL knowledge
  • Experience with DataStage (IBM ETL tool)
