JOIN THE TEAM

DevHub is a cloud-based developer platform that streamlines work at BASF, offering tools for infrastructure, developer tooling, and security, providing a comprehensive DevOps / MLOps experience.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Infrastructure Engineer to develop and maintain our platform's infrastructure components. You will collaborate with senior developers to create scalable and responsive solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Secure operation and support of the BASF DevHub Platform
  • Develop, run, and automate CI / CD pipelines - Infrastructure as Code
  • Monitor cloud PaaS and IaaS components for availability, performance, and security
  • Manage incidents, changes, problems, and continual service improvement
  • Identify root causes and implement solutions
  • Ensure compliance with BASF security guidelines
  • Patch management of infrastructure
  • Develop and implement Backup and Recovery strategies
  • Support and enable use cases on the DevHub Platform
  • Implement authorization requests
  • Contribute to improving internal development processes

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-4 years of experience as a Cloud System Engineer
  • Experience with front-end and back-end technologies
  • Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of cloud service models and deployment models
  • Familiarity with Azure services such as VMs, App Services, Storage, SQL Database
  • Networking knowledge including TCP / IP, DNS, VPN, and Azure networking resources
  • Basic security knowledge in cloud environments and Azure security tools
  • Proficiency with Git and version control
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
  • Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and tools
