Position Summary : Supervise daily operation of the laundry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Assistant Laundry Masters are vital to managing shipboard laundry facilities. They must possess technical proficiency, leadership skills, and good judgment. Responsibilities include supervising laundry staff, assessing methods, managing equipment and supplies, and solving operational or guest-related issues. They ensure the needs of the operation are met, including laundry for housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and staff uniforms. They coordinate with the Laundry Master, Executive Housekeeper, and Facilities Manager for equipment maintenance and repairs. They oversee proper linen sorting, inspect equipment and laundry quality, and ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas. They handle guest concerns to maximize satisfaction and oversee laundry cycle settings. All tasks should be performed in compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

Hiring Requirements : A minimum of two years experience as an Assistant Laundry Master in a 4 or 5-star hotel, cruise, or upscale industry.
