Public Finance Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Finance Expert to join our team and support the implementation of a project in the education sector. The overall objective of this project is to provide evidence-based recommendations for better fiscal management, efficient use of public expenditures, and improved service delivery.

The selected candidate will conduct in-depth analysis of budget execution, fiscal policies, and financial oversight mechanisms. They will assess the coherence between public expenditure and fiscal policy objectives, evaluate PFM frameworks, and identify gaps and inefficiencies in public finance systems. Additionally, they will provide technical advice to government counterparts and development partners on improving fiscal governance and budget management.

To be successful in this role, you will need a Master's degree or higher in Public Finance, Economics, Public Administration, Accounting, or a related field. You should have proficiency in English (C1) and knowledge of Danish or Greenlandic is an asset. You must also have at least 12 years of progressively responsible experience in public finance, including at least 5 years in a senior advisory or technical leadership role.
