About the Role

For this position, we are looking for a QA Automation Specialist to join our iLovePDF Tech team. You will be responsible for developing and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and stability of our applications, as well as performing manual testing when necessary to support new features, bug fixes, and regression coverage.

You'll collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and other QA team members to identify test scenarios, document test cases, and continuously improve our testing processes.

What you will do :

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for Desktop and Mobile applications.
  • Take ownership of introducing and scaling automation testing within our projects to improve test coverage and release confidence.
  • Collaborate with developers, project managers, and other QA team members to understand feature requirements and ensure testability.
  • Create, maintain, and execute manual test cases when necessary to support new features, exploratory testing, and regression cycles.
  • Analyze test results, identify and report defects, and verify fixes.
  • Monitor test execution and provide clear, actionable feedback to stakeholders.

What we’re looking for :

  • 3+ years of experience in QA Automation with a strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Appium and / or Squish (experience with Squish is a big plus).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
  • Familiarity with writing tests using Gherkin syntax (e.g., Given / When / Then) is a plus.
  • Experience testing Desktop and / or Mobile applications.
  • Solid knowledge of test case design, test execution, and defect tracking.
  • Familiarity with CI / CD tools and integrating automated tests into pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Ability to read and understand product requirements and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • EU citizen or a valid work permit to work in Spain.
