Principal Engineer (Fully Remote)

Our client is a startup in medical device technology , pioneering in the field of real time precision neurology to cure brain-related disorders. Their mission is to decode and modulate neural networks to restore people's lives.

As a Principal ASIC Engineer , you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge chip technology that forms the backbone of the advanced medical electronic systems.

As principal ASIC Engineer you will manage the external IC design houses in the outsourced design, simulation, manufacturing, test and validation of the ASICs.

Manage external IC design houses in the outsourced design, simulation, manufacturing, test and validation of the ASICs.

Apply risk management and perform design failure mode and effect analysis (DFMEA) on designs.

Define test strategies to verify the electronic systems against the product and manufacturing requirements.

Apply DFR / DFM / DFT (Design for Reliability, Design for Manufacturing and Design for Test), including modelling, analysis, and statistical analysis.

BSc or MSc in Integrated Circuit Design Electronics Engineering.

At least 8 years of work experience in a relevant medical device development environment, with experience executing a full development cycle.

Experienced in analog or mixed signal IC design for (implantable) medical devices.

Solid understanding of (Medical) Risk Analysis and FMEA.

Experienced in managing projects outsourced to IC design subcontractors for development, manufacturing, and integration of ASICs.

Experienced in Verification test design and execution.

Fluency in English required (English is company language). Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Experience in digital IC design and development.

Familiar with medical device development applicable standards.
