The Junior Mechanical Engineer will have the following responsibilities :

• Mechanical design and modelling of mechanical subsystems and payload. Preparation of preliminary design with layouts, sketches, testing requirements, materials, processes, and tools, define mechanical interfaces with other mechanical subsystems.
• Develop and maintain mechanical design documentation, manufacturing drawings, interface control drawings, test procedures and tooling (vibration, shock, TVAC, assembly)
• Technical Support to AIT activities including fabrication, assembly, integration, and tests.
• Responsible for the design and capability of the system design to meet the technical requirements.
• Support in structural and thermal decisions and engineering trade-offs to find the best conceptual architectures and design.

Desired Skills and Experience

The Junior Mechanical Engineer must have :

At least 1-2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design. Mechanical space subsystems and payload and / or other equivalent applications is a plus.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field. Higher degree is preferred.

Demonstrated experience using CAD software. (Inventor is preferred).

Experience using PDM and PLM software is a plus

Knowledge in GDIT is a plus.

Technical skills in FEM computer methods using standard analytical tools and classical structural analysis methods is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team with other engineers.

Flexibility / adaptability in a fast-paced & dynamic environment.

Fluent English written and verbal communication skills.
