At ING we are looking for Data Governance Expert

Your role and work environment :

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Data Governance Expert to join our Data Enablement Team of Data Management Tribe

The responsibility of this team is to build, define, and deploy our new Data platform governance capabilities, aiming to provide clear policy compliance and support all bank areas using the 5 Rights principles (The right data is in the right place at the right time for the right people in the right way).

Your key responsibilities :

As a Data Governance Expert, you will :

  • Support new initiatives to meet ING's data framework requirements.
  • Ensure the availability of correct metadata to comply with ING policies, including classification, exchange, and definitions.
  • Guarantee data traceability according to defined minimum requirements, considering the criticality of data flows and consumption.
  • Contribute as a key squad member, providing broad knowledge on reference data and governance of standard values from a cross-user perspective and on demand.
  • Collaborate with squads and technical teams to define new requirements for the Data Management Framework and process improvements for operational excellence.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience with Data Governance tools (Collibra, Informatica, IGC, Atlan, etc.)
  • Experience with data catalogs or dictionaries, including business terms, reference data, and metadata linked to technical assets like Oracle tables and columns
  • At least 5 years in data governance and metadata management
  • Advanced English skills
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills, with attention to detail

    • Desired :

  • Banking sector experience
  • Reporting tools experience (Cognos, PowerBI, Microstrategy)
  • Certifications in data governance and metadata
  • SQL knowledge
  • Experience with DataStage (IBM ETL tools)
