The Business HR Manager serves as a trusted partner to the business, helping to shape our culture, support our business strategies, and deliver the talent and capabilities necessary to make a remarkable impact on AbbVie and patients around the world. The role leverages best-in-class HR practices to create, deliver, and support programs that establish AbbVie as an employer of choice while empowering employees at all levels. The role partners with business leaders to develop and implement people strategies that support business plans and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the primary strategic partner to the business, assisting in creating and implementing HR strategies to meet organizational needs.
  • Coach, consult, and influence business leaders on leadership development, succession planning, and talent management.
  • Develop strategies to attract, develop, and retain talent, including identifying new capabilities for future success. Lead talent development and succession planning efforts.
  • Ensure effective delivery of HR programs and services, responsible for HR results including client satisfaction, HR effectiveness, and financial outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key HR partners across Centers of Excellence and Service Centers to coordinate HR initiatives and meet business needs.
  • Provide consultation on organization design and effectiveness to ensure optimal performance.
  • Drive manager development to clarify expectations, increase accountability, and enhance manager / employee experiences. Promote a culture of high engagement, performance, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Facilitate and model change, developing communication strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Champion AbbVie’s Values and Ways of Working by modeling, educating, and coaching on these behaviors.
  • Prioritize projects based on business needs and resources.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant HR experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of regulations and standards affecting the business, with solid business acumen.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in complex environments.
  • Project management or business experience.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
